Power Grid hands over dental chairs with X-Ray facilities to DHS

JAMMU, Nov 26: Power Grid Northern Region-II handed over ten dental chairs with X-Ray facilities to the Directorate of Health Services (DSH), Jammu today.
The dental chairs with X-Ray facilities were handed over by Anil Jain, Executive Director  Power Grid Northern Region-II to Dr Gurjeet Singh, Director Health Services Jammu in presence of  RVS Kushwaha, General Manager (AM), Power Grid, Ex-Director Health Services Dr BS Pathania, B Dash DGM (F), R Narayan, Chief Manager (HR) Power Grid, senior officials from Directorate of Health Services, Jammu and Power Grid.
Dr Gurjeet Singh had approached Power Grid Corporation of India Limited for providing the dental chairs with X-ray machines for its various hospitals and health care centers across the Jammu Province.
Power Grid realizing the indispensable role of dental chairs and dental X-rays in dental health care particularly in rural and difficult areas accepted the request of Health Department, Jammu and decided to provide 10 dental chairs with X-Ray facilities to the DHS as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
These chairs will be installed in various hospitals and health care centers of Jammu, Reasi, Ramban and Samba Districts in Jammu Province. With the installation of these chairs in these hospitals public health infrastructure will be strengthened and it will also increase confidence of people in public healthcare services and enhanced utilization of public health infrastructure.
On the occasion, Anil Jain highlighted various CSR activities being undertaken by the Power Grid and stressed on the fact that CSR activities by Power Grid are the manifestation of its commitment to a better future for all and helping the nation in building a sustained and self-dependent social structure.
Dr Gurjeet Singh requested Power Grid to continue the support to the department in future as well.
