JAMMU, Nov 26: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed two shops and a showroom in Gandhi Nagar.
As per official spokesman, on the instructions of Dr Manmohan Singh, Commissioner, JMC and under the supervision of RS Jamwal, Joint Commissioner (Administration), the enforcement staff sealed two shops constructed by Aditya Dogra at 74 D/C Gandhi Nagar and a showroom of Duck Back at 34 D/C Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under Section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
The said shops and showroom have been raised in the rear set back area unauthorizedly and in violation of the land use of the area from residential to commercial.
The said illegal constructions seriously effect the planned development of Jammu City and contravene the zoning regulation.
The sealing operation has been conducted with the help of police force from District Police Line (DPL), Jammu.
