JAMMU, Nov 26: A delegation of National Conference (NC) Minority Cell led by its president M K Yogi today called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Y P Suman and discussed the problems of displaced people with him.
Yogi took up the issue of filling up of new application forms by migrants at their respective zones and camps as has been notified by the Relief Organization. The DC Relief informed the delegation that the same was done for the convenience of migrants so that they can get their relief directly from their respective accounts at earliest and on time.
The RC informed the delegation that the proposal of bifurcation is pending with the Government and he has not been assigned the authority of signing the State Subject certificates.
The delegation expressed its surprise that even after the lapse of two months, the Relief Commissioner has not been given the authority to sign the State Subject Certificates. There are hundreds of files of bifurcation and State subject pending for a long time. The Relief Commissioner assured the delegation that he will personally take up these issues with concerned Minister for their early settlement.
