JAMMU, Nov 28: Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta along with Minister of State for Education, Technical Education, Culture, Tourism, Department of Horticulture, Floriculture and Parks, Priya Sethi and Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf, PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control, Power Development, Industries & Commerce Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today inaugurated the Trade Fair at Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar here.
The month long exhibition is being organized by the Indian National Women Welfare Society.
During their visit, the Ministers visited various stalls at the exhibition and interacted with traders participating in the fair.
Kavinder Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that this trade fair is an opportunity for traders from many States to come together and showcase their crafts at a common platform.
The products on display in the exhibition include a variety of crafts and unique utility products for daily use. Also showcased in the exhibition are a variety of ayurvedic products, spices, dry fruits and winter items.
Many prominent citizens including senior political leader Yudhvir Sethi and Chairperson Indian National Women Welfare Society, Shweta Vohra were also present on the occasion.
Later, Kavinder Gupta along with Priya Sethi inaugurated the two day national exhibition of cartoons on demonetization at Kala Kendra, Jammu.
The works from noted cartoonist including Chander Shekhar, Manoj Chopra and Raj Bhagat of the State besides Manoj Kureel and Mika Aziz from Kolkata have been showcased in the exhibition.
Kavinder Gupta said that the efforts of these young artists through exhibitions help articulate the society towards right perspective.
Priya Sethi said that the hard work of these promising cartoonists will help spread the message of anti corruption movement among masses.
