ESRM presents ‘Marg Darshan’

JAMMU, Nov 28: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) presented Vijay Malla’s new play “Marg Darshan” in collaboration with Mukta Theatre Arts, Unison and BLSKS at Khanpur Colony, Nagrota under its Monday Theatre series today.
Marg Darshan is the play which describes the importance of girl child, her survival and education in the society.
Shanti Devi orders her teen-aged daughter Suman to drop his school and stop studies which comes as a shock to her. Added to this she also directs her daughter-in-law to go to a doctor for getting ultra-sound scanning to determine the sex the sex of her unborn child. Both the orders of elder of the home confuse everybody. The daughter-in-law leaves the home to reach the house of mother due to frustration of the dictatorial attitude of her mother-in-law. After failing to convince Shanti Devi, her son and daughter take up the matter with Sarpanch. The Sarpanch threatens Shanti Devi of dire consequences for her illogical decisions. Shanti Devi admits her mistakes. Sarpanch also assures Shanti Devi that there are many schemes of the Government for the girl child regarding education.
A large number of people witnessed the play and appreciated the theme and presentation of the ESRM.
Those who acted in the play were Gopal Verma, Happy Gupta, Ashok Sharma, Saroj, Qurat-ul-Ain, Raju Mad, Gopal Singh and Vijay Malla. The play was written and directed by Vijay Malla.
