ReT Forum condemns lathicharge on employees

UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum has condemned the brutal lathicharge and arrest of ReT teachers and other employees, who were protesting peacefully at Srinagar.
President of the Forum, Vinod Sharma, while speaking in a monthly meeting at Town Hall here today accused the State Government of ignoring the demands and problems of its employees. He termed this act of the Government as shameful.
Reiterating the demands of ReT teachers, which included conversion of EVs as general line teachers, inclusion of five years ReT period for seniority, old pension scheme in favour of ReTs appointed before 2010, transfer policy for regularized teachers, benefit of SRO 43 and issuance of formal order regarding enhancement of salary of ReTs. Sharma said all these demands are genuine but the Government is not paying any heed to these demands, forcing them to come on roads.
He further said that a State-wide protest would be held after the move of Darbar, if their demands are not conceded by them.
District president of the Forum, Lekh Raj Parihar, appealed the CEO Udhampur to take stern action against ZEO officials Ramnagar for their inefficiency to solve the problems of ReTs and EVs of Ramnagar.
