This is apropos the Nari Shakti Sangam Seminar recently held in Eden Garden, Akhnoor road organized by enlightened women actively associated with various social works of national significance, drawn from about 30 prominent places in the state including Ladakh. While addressing the mammoth audience of active women comprising doctors, advocates, professors, research scholars, teachers, bureaucrats, technocrats and many other professionals, the eloquent speakers emphasized and highlighted the following core issues relating to the projected contribution of women who constitute a huge power potential which if harnessed and channelized properly would certainly give a fillip to the ongoing movement of national renaissance.
*Women do enjoy a significant and most honourable status in the Bhartiya way of life since the times immemorial and the Indian society has progressively evolved and touched the pinnacle of glory confronting the monumental trials and tribulations as a sequel to the positive and constructive contribution of enlightened womenfolk.
*Women diaspora across the national spectrum constitute 50 percent of the population, therefore, no revolution and transformation can happen in any field without their deep involvement and support. They need to look beyond their families to render their services for the under privileged and down trodden in the true spirit of nationalism for which they have to kick start from their neighbourhood and lead from the front in eradication of deadly socio-economic evils, gender bias, poor sanitary conditions, illiteracy, cultivation of moral values in the tender hearts of Indian progeny. It was emphatically proclaimed to make it a reality by virtue of women enlightenment. The attractive slogans of women liberation and women empowerment have not served the coveted purpose. There was perceptible firm resolve to translate the deliberations into reality.
