UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pawan Gupta has kick-started the black topping work of road from Battal Ballian main road to Masjid Jojjeran Talab.
Ex-Sarpanch Puran Chand Sharma along with a large number of local people were present on the occasion.
Mohammad Ramjan, a villager said that this 700 meter road was never constructed and totally ignored by the administration and the public representatives even after several repeated requests of the inhabitants. He added that last year, they brought this issue into the notice of MLA Pawan Gupta, who immediately gave orders to the authorities concerned for immediate action in this regard resulting last year R&B Department has started construction work on this road and today black toping on this road has been taken place only due to the efforts of MLA Pawan Gupta.
In his address, MLA Pawan Gupta said that development of Udhampur constituency is his main agenda. “I succeeded to develop many roads of the constituency but several roads are still to be developed”, he said, adding that this road is being constructed at an estimate cost of Rs 35 lakh.
