Pritam Nagar residents facing water scarcity

JAMMU, Nov 30: Residents of Pritam Nagar, Upper Paloura, Jammu have been facing water scarcity even in winter season.
The residents alleged that instead of releasing water on daily basis, PHE officials deployed at the concerned pumping station release water twice or thrice a week and that to with very little flow, as they do not open the valve fully.
“Moreover, most of the connections are linked to 1.5 inches of water supply pipeline, which is insufficient to cater to the water needs of the residents”, they alleged and appealed the higher authorities of PHE Department to lay down at least 2.5 inches of water supply pipe line and issue orders to the pumping station staff to release water fully and on daily basis.
