JAMMU, Nov 30: Sarwal police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler along with intoxicants.
As per police spokesman, based on reliable information, a team from Sarwal police post laid a naka and intercepted Alto car bearing registration number JK02L-6933.
During checking, police recovered 10 bottles of banned syrup, 240 intoxicant capsules and 15 tablets from the car and arrested the driver, while his associate managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR Number 182/16 under relevant Sections has been registered with police station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Sarwal police post SI Kali Charan made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma, SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
