KATHUA, Dec 1: The Bani Police has registered a FIR under Section 153A against one Shahnawaz a contractual history lecturer of Degree College Bani on the basis of a complaint made by the students that he used to give anti national speech in the class room instead of concentrating on his job.
The students also protested in front of Degree College Bani and had demanded action under law against the lecturer forcing the police to register FIR and arrest the lecturer. The protest was also joined by some prominent people of the area led by BJP Mandal president, Thakur Dass and they had demanded immediate action against the lecturer.
SHO Bani said that FIR was registered against the lecturer and the College authorities have also decided to hold a probe into the matter.
Meanwhile a delegation of students and local people called on SDM Bani Ajit Singh today and demanded that the two lecturers be immediately relieved from the college as they are posing a threat to the communal harmony in the area.
