Two truckers arrested with 500 kg bhukki

UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Chenani police nabbed two truckers along with 500 kilograms of bhukki.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team from Chenani police station intercepted two trucks bearing registration numbers JK08A-6135 and JK02X-8575.
During checking, police recovered 500 kilograms of bhukki from the vehicles and arrested the truckers.
The accused have been identified as Bikram Singh, son of Gian Singh and Jaswinder Singh, son of Chain Singh, both residents of Simbal Camp, Jammu. They were transporting the consignment from Srinagar to Bihar, but timely action by the cops of Chenani police station foiled their bid.
Cases under FIR Numbers 129/16 and 130/16 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act have been registered against them at Chenani police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Chenani Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Chenani Vinod Sharma, Additional SP Mohan Lal Kaith and SSP Udhampur Dr Shalinder Mishra.
