Fog delays arrival of trains

JAMMU, Dec 2:  The dense fog  in plain areas of Northern region has delayed the arrival of many trains  and also  led to cancellation of  a few trains today.
A Northern Railway spokesman said that Delhi-Jammu Rajdhani Express arrived Jammu station about five hours late while Pooja Express was nearly seven and half hours late.
Tata Moori – Jammu was nearly  11 hours late, Malwa Express from Indore arrived about 9 hours late, Kolkata-Jammu and Amarnath Express trains were late by eight and half hours, Swaraj Express by  seven (7) hours, Jhelum Express  by five and half hours, Andeman Express by five hours, Begumpura-Jammu  by four and half hours Uttar Sampark Kranti by two and half hours while Shalimar Express and  Jammu Mail were late by one to one and half hours.
The spokesman further revealed that the departure timings of some trains have been re-scheduled while a few long distance trains have been cancelled. Due to late arrival and departure of trains, huge rush of passengers has been witnessed at the Jammu Railway Station.
