DODA, Dec 3: MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar today said that improving basic facilities is high on the agenda of present Government and all efforts are being made to provide better facilities to the people, especially those living in rural and far off areas.
The MLA was speaking at a public grievances redressal camp held at village Dali of Panchayat Udyanpur.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, Tehsildar Doda Nasir Ali, executive engineer PDD/PHE/PWD R&B, other district officers were present on the occasion.
People from Udyanpur and adjoining areas briefed the MLA about their problems mostly pertaining to maintenance of roads, improving drinking water and power supply, improvement in health and education sector etc.
The MLA asked the concerned departments to redress the grievances of the people in time bound manner and ensure better facilities to the people of rural areas.
District/ Sectoral officers of various departments like Floriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture and Social Welfare made the people aware about the various welfare schemes of their department and asked them to avail maximum benefits from these welfare programmes.
