REASI, Dec 3: Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 40 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession in Talwara, here today.
A Police team headed by Sub Inspector Vinod Kumar, I/C PP Talwara, laid a naka at Talwara and intercepted a van bearing registration number .2459/JK14B. During checking of the van, the Police team recovered 40 Poly pouches, measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise liquor.
Police seized the liquor as well as the van and also arrested its driver, identified as Kamal Singh of Dharan, Tehsil and district Reasi.
In this connection, a case FIR number 181/2016 under section 48-A Act has been registered at Police station Reasi.
