JAMMU, Dec 3: The State BJP and RSS leaders who were summoned to New Delhi yesterday by party high command held detailed discussions with the party general secretaries and another senior leader in Union Capital today and discussed the prevailing political situation and party affairs with them.
Among the national leaders, the meeting was attended by national general secretary (Org) Ram Lal, national general secretary incharge J&K Ram Madhav and another senior leader, Dr Krishan Gopal in the morning.
Among the leaders from J&K who were summoned to New Delhi included BJP State president Sat Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, Party general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul, RSS Prant Pracharak J&K Ramesh Puppa and senior leader of the organization Parshotam Didichi.
According to sources, the threadbare discussions were held on the prevailing political situation in the State in the wake of unrest in Kashmir. The border shelling, plight of border denizens, recent announcement of package of PoJK refugees, terrorist attacks and infiltration from across the border and party matters came for discussion.
The national leaders were given complete feed back by the State leadership on the prevailing situation in the State. The functioning of BJP Ministers in the wake of recent controversies surfacing some of them also came to discussion and high command according to sources have made it mandatory to State leadership to ensure that there is no breach in the public trust posed in BJP.
The national leaders while reiterating the Modi Government’s resolve that there will be zero tolerance for corruption asked the State leadership to ensure that there is total transparency in the working of Ministers and legislators of the party as people of the State have high expectations from BJP and the party has to come to their expectations.
Sources said Dr Nirmal Singh later returned here in the afternoon while other BJP and RSS leaders are staying in Union Capital for night and they will meet the senior party functionaries of BJP and RSS tomorrow morning and tonight also.
