Srinagar, Dec 5: The Meteorological Department today forecast dry weather for next 24 hours with night temperatures dipping further and staying below freezing.
Srinagar, had a low of minus 2.8 degree Celsius. Gulmarg in North Kashmir dropped to 1.5 degree Celsius. Pahalgam in South Kashmir recorded a low of minus 2.9 degree Celsius.
Kupwara in North Kashmir recorded the minimum of minus 3.8 degree Celsius, while in Kokernag town in South it was minus 0.7 degree Celsius. Qazigund, recorded the minimum at minus 1.6 degree Celsius.
Leh being the coldest place recording minimum of minus 8.7 degree Celsius and Kargil town recorded the minimum of minus 7.2 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Jammu city was at 9.5 degree Celsius. Katra recorded 10.3 degree Celsius, Batote 8.3 degree Celsius, Banihal 3.2 degree Celsius and Bhaderwah 4.0 degree Celsius as the lowest night temperature.
Srinagar recorded maximum day temperature of 13.7 degree Celsius while normal day temperature for this time off the year is 11 degree Celsius, Qazigund recorded 14.1 degree Celsius, Pahalgam 13.5 degree Celsius, Kupwara 14.6 degree Celsius, Kokernag 13.5 degree Celsius, Gulmarg 12.2 degree Celsius, Leh 7.2 degree Celsius and Kargil 8.2 degree Celsius.
The day temperature in Jammu city was recorded at 23.2 degree Celsius, while it was 21.2 degree Celsius in Katra town, 17.9 degree Celsius in Batote, 19.6 degree Celsius in Banihal and 17.3degree Celsius in Bhaderwah town.
