Bali reiterates resolve to develop Raipur-Domana as model constituency

JAMMU, Dec 7: Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat has reiterated his resolve to develop the Raipur-Domana as a model constituency by ensuring all requisite facilities, adding that this was his commitment with the people at the time of election and he would leave no stone unturned to fulfill the same.
Addressing two separate public meetings at village Dhar Darochan and Marjali in Raipur-Domana, the Minister said that the Government has taken several measures to augment the existing infrastructural facilities and new initiatives to give an impetus to the developmental activities in the constituency during the short stint of less than two years. He said the Government has not found ample time to focus on the developmental issues due to disturbances in some parts of the State and other allied aspects, but now the developmental initiatives will be fast-tracked, he asserted.
The Minister said the present Government headed by Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti with the wholehearted support of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has initiated several developmental and welfare programmes and people will witness transformation in all sectors in the coming years. He said it is endeavor of the present Government to ensure need based all round development of all areas and with the active involvement of the local people so that the benefits of the schemes/programmes percolate down to the needy.
Referring to some key initiatives taken by the Government, the Minister said that over 80 kilometers of road length has been blacktopped, foundation stones of 100-bed Sub-District Hospital and Degree College laid, over 3000 toilet units made functional under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and over 4000 cases of old age and other pensions have been sanctioned in the constituency.
He said the process of blacktopping the remaining roads has also been set in motion and works will be executed after the winter months.
Responding to the demands of the people, the Minister assured to construct the left out portion of road connecting village Dhar Darochan after the winter months. He also assured to address other issues like upgradation of power infrastructure, drinking water and opening of Anganwari Centre on priority basis.
At village Marjali, he announced to open a Health Sub- Centre, which was a long pending demand of the people. He also issued on-the-spot instructions to the functionaries of Rural Development Department to undertake the repair and renovation of lanes and drains in the village. He also directed for undertaking a survey of eligible beneficiaries for construction of toilets under SBM.
