JAMMU, Dec 8: A delegation of PDP Minority Cell activists called on Minister of  Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Basharat Bukhari here today and discussed the various issues confronting the Kashmiri migrants with him.
The delegation which was led by Nana Ji ex Sarpanch and PDP leader expressed concern over delay in restoration of RBA status to migrants belonging to RBA areas from Valley and said this was a grave injustice with the community.
They said with the mass migration the social and economic status of the exiled people has not improved but worsened and hence there was no logic in denying the RBA status to them.
They said that the same was done by the previous NC-Congress coalition under a conspiracy to harm the interests of the community.
The Minister said the issue is under the consideration of the Government.
The delegation also discussed other various issues including timely payment of ration and relief, removal of encroachments. It further demanded implementation of PM’s employment package in letter and spirit with announcement of over 4000 pending posts under the package.
The other members of delegation included Sunil Bali, Piaray Lal Raina, and Ravinder Bhat.
