Tpt companies’ deputation meets Transport Commissioner

JAMMU, Dec 9: A deputation of All J&K Motor Transport Companies representatives of different associations led by Farman Ali, chairman and S Gajan Singh, president, as also office bearers of different routes bus union and mini bus unions as well as chairman Passenger Vehicles Union, Anil Chopra, called on Transport Commissioner.
The deputation apprised the Transport Commissioner of the difficulties being faced by these companies due to digitization of RTO Office Jammu. Various issues were raised by the representatives.
A patient hearing was given to the deputation  and it was assured that all necessary infrastructure will be got provided in RTO Office Jammu within one month for its digitization to ensure speedy disposal of matters including registration, renewal fitness etc.
Authorities assured further that those having deposited requisite renewal permit fee will not have to pay any excess fee/ penalty on according renewal by computerized system.
Authorities also assured for summoning crime reports of different vehicles from the Crime Branch for according registration at an earliest to avoid any inconvenience. It was also assured that all records in RTO office will be got computerized within shortest time.
