NRHM employees demands salaries

DODA, Oct 8: The employees working under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), today demanded release of their pending salaries at the earliest.
A meeting of National Rural Health Mission Paramedical Association (NRHMPA) was held in which all the employees working under NRHM participated.
The speakers said that the Doctors, Paramedical Staff and other employees working under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in entire J&K are without salary for the past four months.
They said that they are facing immense problem due to delay in release of their salaries as it has become hard to run their families in the absence of wages.
They urged NRHM authorities to look into the matter and demanded revise in the salary of NRHM staff including Doctors, paramedics and management staff.
They also urged Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and State Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma to initiate the measures to regularization/permanent absorption of contractual NRHM staff on the pattern of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).
