SRINAGAR, Dec 14: Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri today set one month deadline for the completion of new court complex at Moominabad, Bemina.
The Minister set the deadline during on-the-spot inspection of the court complex here. He was accompanied by Chief Engineer R&B Kashmir.

Veeri asked the officers to work with zeal for speedy completion of projects of public importance. He impressed upon the officers to meet the deadline in execution of projects to avoid cost escalation.
The extended court complex spread over 243000 sq feet is being constructed at a cost of Rs 120.28 crore. The complex houses many buildings which include North Block, Additional Services Block, Services Building, Electric Sub-Station, Food Court, Judicial Lock-up, Petition Writers Block, Entrance Gateway Plaza etc.
The Minister conducted extensive tour of every building and checked the quality of work being executed. He impressed upon the engineers that quality work is the benchmark of the performance of the department.
During the tour of North Block, the Minister checked the physical progress of 31 court rooms, 2 Lok Adalat rooms, Conference Hall, common room for Judges, business center, library and reading room, administrative office, computer section.
The Minister also took stock of physical progress of banking hall, treasury, senior officers cabin, staff offices, petition writers block.
He was also informed that complex has all modern facilities like central heating system, fire fighting system, public address system, voice communication, CCTV surveillance and data communication.
