JAMMU, Dec 17: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh today convened a meeting of the Tehsildars of Jammu district in connection with the smooth implementation of Rs 2000 crore package of financial assistance meant for the displaced persons of PoJK of 1947/1965/1971 under Prime Minister Development Package.
The office bearers of Patwar Association of Jammu were also present in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner gave detailed briefing to the Tehsildars regarding the necessary documents required for preparing the cases for the financial assistance and urged upon them to hold camps to educate people regarding the procedure.
He stressed upon the need to make the application form available at no cost so that the problems being faced by the beneficiaries are minimized. The Patwar Association was requested to extend cooperation to Tehsildars in dealing with the heavy rush in the offices in view of the recent launch of the scheme.
The officers were told to urge people to apply as a family and not as individual members separately as the same would add to the rush and administration costs.
