JAMMU, Dec 18: All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Conference, AJKPC has appealed to the State Government to award adequate compensation to the families and next of kin of the elected Panches and Sarpanches who have been killed by the terrorists since 2011  till date.
The demand has been made by Anil Sharma, the president of the organization while addressing a gathering there at Nagrota Assembly Constituency in an awareness program about implementation of 73rd Amendment of Indian Constitution in the J & K.  He said, the State Government must rehabilitate and award adequate compensation to the next of kin of the martyr Panchayat members who for the sake of democracy sacrificed their lives but did not bow before the diktats of the terrorists.
