SRINAGAR: As many as 14 Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) guests arrived here while only four Kashmiris crossed over to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) to meet their relatives, separated in 1947 due to partition.
Twenty returnees also crossed sides at Kaman Post, the Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri sector in the Karvan-e-Aman bus which resumed today after remaining suspended last week in the wake of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
Passengers who were scheduled to travel in the last bus were accommodated in today’s bus, official sources told UNI. They said 14 PoK residents, including five woman, arrived at Kaman post after crossing the Aman Setu, peace bus on foot.
Sources said 14 Kashmiris, including six women and a child, who had gone to the PoK arrived here after meeting their relatives across the LoC.
They said four Kashmiris crossed over to other side of LoC to meet their relatives in POK while six resident of PoK, including a woman also returned to their homes after completing stay here. The bus could not operate last week in view of Eid-e-Milad. (AGENCIES)
