JAMMU, Dec 19: A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a mini-bus in Bagh-e-Bahu area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the pedestrian identified as Mohd Shafiq (60) son of Fateh Mohd, resident of Bahu Fort, was killed on the spot this evening when he was hit by a mini-bus bearing registration number JK02AM-3721 in Bagh-e-Bahu area.
The spokesman said that the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for conducting post mortem tomorrow.
“A case in this connection was registered at police station Bagh-e-Bahu while driver of the mini-bus, Tara Ali, son of Abdul Kareem, resident of Reasi and at present Bagh-e-Bahu, was arrested and his vehicle seized.
