JAMMU, Dec 20: The Department of Mathematics of Central University of Jammu received the grant under Fund for Improvement of Science & Technology infrastructure in universities & higher educational institutions (FIST) for the year 2016.
Prof S D Sharma, HoD Department of Mathematics had submitted the proposal to the Department of Science & Technology in the month of July 2016 , thereafter it was shortlisted for presentation. On the basis of the merit of the proposals submitted and subsequent presentations, only four Universities of the country including the Central University of Jammu have been recommended for this prestigious grant under FIST by the Department of S&T, Government of India, in the category of Mathematical Sciences.
