JAMMU, Dec 20: Police arrested 12 persons with Rs 12,500 stake money and playing cards from Mishriwala area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack police station conducted raid in Mishriwala area and nabbed 12 persons with Rs 12,500 stake money and playing cards.
A case under Section 13-A Gambling Act has been registered against the persons at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana SK Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
