JAMMU, Dec 20: A meeting was convened by Sangram Sena, Jammu under the chairmanship of Ram Rattan Raina, president of the Sena, to discuss people’s problems.
In the meeting the executive body members as well as presidents of various units of Sangram Sena of Jammu province were present.
The main agenda of the meeting was present barbaric treatment of Nursing Homes in Jammu, who squeezes money from poor masses on one or other pretext, which is quite inhuman and injustice to the poor masses.
The meeting was addressed by Ram Rattan Raina, who said that the Health/Medical Department is quite ignorant about the unwarranted means and methods adopted by Nursing Homes to extract money from poor while treating their patients.
He said this menace of illegal and unlawful extortion of money from the patients by private Nursing Homes is going unchecked by the Health/Medical department. Citing an example, he said that a leading Nursing Home in order to extract money put a dead body on ventilator and heavily charged the deceased’s family. “This fact was ascertained and brought into the notice of higher-ups, but of no avail”, he added.
