14 pilgrims injured in road mishap

KATHUA, Dec 21: Fourteen pilgrims were injured after the matador in which they were travelling turned turtle on the road at Barwal More near here late tonight.
They were returning after a pilgrimage of their Devasthan from Jallandhar in Punjab and after reaching Barwal a Motorcyclist tried to cross the road and the driver of the matador in his bid to save him failed to control the steering with the result the matador turned turtle and 14 pilgrims were injured.
All the people were from Jammu and they had gone to pilgrimage of their Devasthan in Jallandhar. The injured were admitted in District Hospital Kathua for treatment. The Kathua Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law. However motor cyclist escaped unhurt.
