POONCH, Dec 21: Total black out has been witnessed in the Mendhar town last night due to power break down.
Reports said that the electricity supply to Mendhar, Darana and Gohlad was snapped after some mechanical fault late last evening. Throughout the night, the power supply remained affected in the town and adjoining two localities.
Even during the day today, the power supply to the town remained hit and after this local traders/Beopar Mandal members lodged protest with the local PDD authorities, who claimed that due to over loading of feeders, this has happened. They said the field staff was trying to rectify the fault. The power could not be restored even by 8 pm today.
