Beopar Mandal stages protest against PWD

MENDHAR, Oct 9: Beopar Mandal Mendhar held strong protest demonstration against the PWD (R&B) authorities for the worst condition of  road in bazaar in the town here today.
A large number of shopkeepers under the leadership of Beopar Mandal president Parveen Sawhney assembled in the main bazaar here today and started raising slogans against R&B Minister, Chief Engineer and the concerned R&B staff  at Mendhar. They were carrying placards depicting slogans “PWD Hai Hai’,.. ‘ R&B Hai Hai’. They also fixed the placards and banners carrying slogans in the entire bazaar.
During protest demonstration the traffic was also disrupted for some time. These people alleged that R&B authorities started digging drains and road before rainy season. The work was then abandoned and during entire rainy season the water logging was created in the market and water also entered many shops during last 3-4 months. The traders suffered damages due to negligence of the R&B staff.
Now, the stones  and debris is scattered all over the road in the main market, dust is flowing every day and stones scattered on road get slipped under the wheels and hit many passers by and traders, causing injuries. The concerned R&B XEn and AEE besides other staff have shut their eyes. The Sub-Divisional Administration and legislators have become mute spectators. They warned to intensify agitation and block the road if the action was not taken with in 3-4 days.
