DDC takes stock of people problems, assures redressal

KATHUA, Dec 22: With an objective to take stock of the problems being faced by the people of Bani, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramesh Kumar today convened a public grievance redressal camp in the area.
A large number of people hailing from Bani and its adjacent areas participated in the camp and put forth their grievances related to water supply, low voltage, road connectivity, sanitation, fruit mandi, police posts in far off places, fire brigade and enhancement in the scale of kerosene and ration.
The villagers also demanded that they should be given jobs in SEWA-II Hydel Power Project of National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC).
DDC assured them that the all the issues raised in the camp will be redressed on priority. He gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers to take the steps for redressal of demands and grievances of the people.
During his tour of the area, the DDC inspected various ongoing developmental works being executed by PWD, PMGSY, RDD and other departments.
While inspecting the new building of ITI Bani, the DDC directed the executing agency to maintain the quality and ensure its timely completion.
He also visited the SDH Bani and took stock of various facilities being provided in the hospital and also visited tehsil office Bani.
SSP Kathua, Pawan Parihar, DSWO Ashraf Chowdhary, DHO Ajit sharma, CAO Subhash Gupta, CEO Balbir Singh, CMO Dr RK Sangra, SDM Bani Ajeet Singh, AD CAPD, XEn PMGSY Pawan Bhagat, Tehsildar, BDO and other tehsil level officers were also present.
