JAMMU, Dec 22: Continuing the protest demonstration for 9th consecutive day of their ongoing token strike in support of their long pending issues, the Non Teaching employees held a strong display of their strength to the University authorities by taking out a rally on the campus and warned to further intensify the struggle if their legitimate demands are not fulfilled at the earliest.
During the demonstration, the employees under the banner of Jammu University Non Teaching Employees Union, raised slogans in support of their demands and appealed the Vice-Chancellor not to be misled by his officers.
As scheduled, the agitating employees took out a protest march on the campus and then staged a dharna in front of VC office.
Speakers, on the occasion, made it clear that contrary to the appeal made by the Registrar JU, no such agreement has been accepted by the Union and no one has signed from their side. “Sufficient time has been given to the authorities by the Executive Body and hence there is no question of suspending the strike untill our long pending demands are conceded,” they added.
The demonstration was addressed by Pawan Singh, Ashwani Bakshi, Sham Sharma, Vikas Langer, Sanjeev Chadha, Abhinav Sharma.  Padam Shri Padamani, Niranjan Singh Charak, Joginder Singh Chib,  Kewal Kumar, Sunita Amla, Jarnail Singh and Jasjeet Singh.
Similar protest demonstration were held by the Non-Teaching employees at offsite campus of the Jammu University.
