JAMMU, Dec 23: A carpenter today died after he received serious injuries in a mishap at his workplace in Devipur area of Akhnoor.
According to a police spokesman, the carpenter identified as Naresh Kumar son of Milkhi Ram, resident of Devipur was working in the Saw Mill of Sanjay Sharma son of Lal Dass, resident of Lane No 7, H No 256, Talab Tillo, at Devipur, when at about 2 PM he came in its grip and got seriously injured.
The spokesman said that the seriously injured Naresh was shifted to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor, where during the treatment, he succumbed to his injuries.
“In this connection, a case FIR No 191/2016 under Sections 287/304-A RPC has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation are on”, he added.
