UDHAMPUR, Oct 9: Member Parliament Udhampur- Doda Constituency Ch. Lal Singh convened a public darbar to listen to the demands and problems of the people at village Bararian of district Udhampur.
Sarpanchs, Panchs and a large number of people hailing from various Panchayats including Bararian, Roun, Battal Ballian, Rathian and Sail Sallan were present on the occasion.
The Panchayat representatives put forth their demands and problems, which were mostly related to drinking water and power supply, road connectivity, besides early settlement of old aged pension cases, conduct of fresh BPL survey establishment of Ration Depot, Health and Veterinary Centres at Bararian.
Ch. Lal Singh listened to the demands and problems of the people patiently and assured the early redressal of the same.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Singh said that several schemes and programme have been launched by the Central Government like National Rural Health Mission, MNREGA, IAY, Old Age Pension, and Widow Pension for the welfare of the people. He appealed the people to come forward and avail the benefit of the Centrally and State sponsored schemes
Mr. Singh also called upon the gathering not to pay heed to rumour mongers who always try to disturb the peace and tranquillity of the State and the country for their vested interest.
