Consumers assail CAPD for ration scarcity in Jammu

JAMMU, Dec 24:  The consumers from Sainik Colony, Adarash Vihar and Deeli area have strongly criticized the CAPD authorities for  the non-supply of atta and sugar to the ration depots of the area.
In a meeting of the Adarash Vihar Social Workers Society held under the chairmanship of  S Balwant Singh, the members expressed serious concern over the issue and said that general consumers are irked over the non-supply of  atta and sugar on the depots for the last several weeks.
They also expressed strong resentment over the sharp hike of Rs 5 per kg effected by the CAPD authorities in the rates of Atta and rice for the NPHH consumers.  They alleged that in some  ration shops of the area there was no supply during November  and December and the public has been left to suffer. They sought the intervention of Chief Minister into the matter.
