Pawan chairs Rogi Kalyan Samiti meet

UDHAMPUR, Dec 27: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pawan Gupta chaired the meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti comprising of all PHCs and dispensaries falling in Udhampur constituency.
In the meet, MLA took stock of the burning issues of the said institutions as put forth by the Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Santosh Sharma. BMO Tikri and BMO Pancheri along with all Incharges of PHCs and Dispensaries, AEEs of PWD, ZEOs, BDOs and other officers of the constituency were also present in the meeting.
Gupta directed the concerned authorities to work in coordination with the officers of the Medical Department for proper up-keeping of the infrastructure of the Department by removing all impediments in resolving the burning demands.
He took a serious note of the lack of human resources in all dispensaries and PHCs and the funds needed for efficient medical service. He advised the Deputy CMO to take up the matter of shortage of doctors despite availability of vacancies with the higher authorities so that the matter can be pressed for including the funds under NRHM.
He further advised to come prepared with brief note of demands so that the same can be resolved with due deliberations in next meeting scheduled to take place shortly.
