SRINAGAR, Dec 28: All Jammu and Kashmir Pensioners Welfare Association (AJKPWA) and Senior Citizens Civil Society (SSCS) today met here to raise issues confronting the pensioners and senior citizens.
The spokesperson of AJKPWA and SSCS said that they met to request the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to issue orders for the benefits of elderly by way of implementation of 7th Pay Commission, enhancement in medical allowance, additional pension and constitution of senior citizens advisory council.
The pensioners sought enhancement in medical allowance and promulgation of medicare scheme. The spokesperson further demanded constitution of the senior citizen advisory council as per senior citizens act.
