ITI, Accounts employees meet Haseeb Drabu

JAMMU, Dec 31: A delegation of J&K ITI Employees United Front  led by State president of the body, Nazir Ahmed Molvi called on Finance Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu and submitted a charter of demands last evening.
During meeting with the Minister, the Front leader apprised him of the problems and pending demands of the workers.  It was stressed upon the Minister to resolve their pending issues and also accommodate some of the issues in the coming Budget .
The main issues included regularization of  ad hoc/ temporary/ consolidated  employees, who have completed seven years of service, in accordance with the SRO 255, or on the    analogy of ReT teachers; enhancement of salary of consolidated / contractual employees , removal of pay anomalies, provision of modern equipment in  various ITIs and new class rooms and construction of auditorium at ITI Jammu.
Meanwhile,  Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Employees Association, including representatives from Ladakh, Kashmir, Jammu  and Civil Secretariat unit met the Finance Minister and held pre-Budget consultations besides issue related to State Vigilance Commission report  on Treasuries. They also demanded cadre review  and adoption of career progression measures to remove the saturation. Niyaz Ahmed Qadri  and Kulwant Singh were  leading the delegation.
