Retiring officers/officials given warm send off

JAMMU, Dec 31: A warm send off was given to the retiring officers/officials.
The Legislative Council Secretariat today bid adieu to its two retiring officials namely Farooq Ahmed Sheikh, Special Secretary and Kanshi Ram, Senior Watch & Ward Assistant on their superannuation.
In this connection, an impressive get together was organized in the Council Lobby here this evening wherein Chairman LC, Haji Anayat Ali, Secretary LC, Abdul Majid Bhat, Additional Secretary, Mohammad Ashraf Wani, Deputy Secretary, Ghulam Mohammad and all other functionaries of the Council Secretariat participated.
The Chairman and senior officers of LC lauded the services of both the retirees and wished them happy and prosperous post retirement life. The Chairman honored the retirees by presenting them mementoes.
Consequent upon the retirement of the above officials, the Council Secretariat has also accorded promotion in favour of Mohammad Ashraf Wani as Special Secretary, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat as Additional Secretary, Nazir Ahmed Moon as Deputy Secretary, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat as Under Secretary, Bansi Lal Pandita as Marshal and Ashok Kumar Koul as Watch and Ward Officer.
A farewell function was also organized to bid adieu to Rajesh Gupta, SE REW Jammu, who retired today after serving the department for 35 years and 8 months. During his service, he worked in different districts like frontier district of Leh. He is the only officer in the State who has been awarded with prestigious awards of Bharat Gourami award, Bharat Jyot award and Best Citizen of India award for his workings in the department. All the officers and officials of the department wished Gupta all the best for his new journey of retired life.
Jatinder Sharma, Joint Director of Agriculture Inputs, Jammu who retired from Government service after putting in 37 years of dedicated services in different capacities in the Department of Agriculture, was given a very warm and affectionate send off here today. Agriculture Minister Jenab Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura presented him a memento in presence of Vice Chairman, J&K State Kissan Welfare Board and other high dignitaries. Warm wishes were also extended to other retiring officers of the department namely Balwant Singh (SDAO), Repujeet Bakshi (Soil Conservation Assistant), RK Sadhu (AEO) and other Non-Gazetted staff from other districts as well.
A warm farewell was given to the SI Sagar Singh of Maneh Kattar (Jhajjar Kotli), SI Ashok Kumar of Dharamsal, Rajouri, SI Maan Singh of Gandoh, Doda, L/ASI Harminder Kour of Karan Colony, Talab Tillo Jammu and HC Manmeet Singh of Dharp Satwari Jammu of District Police Jammu on their superannuation by the Jammu Police. The function was organized in District Police Lines, Jammu, wherein SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta, SP Headquarters Romesh Chander Kotwal, Deputy SP DAR Gourav Mahajan, Line Officer DPL Jammu and other staff members wished them a happy and prosperous future life. At last each retiree was honored with a cheque of Rs 50,000 as retirement gift (out of Police Welfare Fund).
A ward send-off was given to Harjeet Kour at Bal Niketan Unit of Social Welfare Department. MOS and VC Pahari Advisory Board Kuldeep Raj Gupta was the chief guest. District Social Welfare Officer, Abdul Khabeer presented the welcome address and highlighted the role of Harjeet Kour as an employee in the Department. Kuldeep Raj Gupta blessed Harjeet Kour for her rest of the life and stressed Harjeet Kour to involve herself in social activities in future. The programme was conducted by Incharge of the unit Darshana Devi.
J&K Grameen Bank organized a farewell function to accord warm send-off to Bank Officer Rajeshwar Singh Sumbria, Senior Manager, Head Office. He served the bank for more than 30 years. Sumbria shared his memories and experience with the staff present on the occasion. Chairman, J&K Grameen Bank Rajesh Kumar Chhibber hailed the contribution of the officer towards Bank at various operational levels.
SFC Department Kishtwar organized a function to accord warm send-off to Ranger Officer Ravail Singh Thakur of Bastoon Ishtiyari Padder. He was presently working as Range Officer in Atholi Unit, East Division, Kishtwar. He attained superannuation after rendering 40 years of services.
