MENDHAR, Dec 31: A village in Chhatral in Mendhar Sub Division is without electricity for the last one month.
The villagers from Bhatidhar alleged that in ward No. 5/6, the electric transformer of the PDD went out of order about one month back. The people reported the matter to the field staff/ lineman and concerned JE and after one week to the AEE, PDD Mendhar but till today the transformer was not replaced.
The people have been receiving electricity bills but there is no power supply at all for the last one month. Villager Mushtaq Ahmed said that AEE concerned was contacted on phone twice but no body bothers to replace the damaged transformer. He sought intervention of PDD Chief Engineer into the matter.
