This has reference to the article “Make J&K corruption free” DE Jan 2, 2017.
So far, not even a single Deptt of the state Govt seem to be corruption free. No department concerned is ready to listen you till you offer some amount of bribe to that concerned.One may take up the case of RTO for the registration of vehicle, PDD Deptt for the release of new connection, PHE Deptt for the release of water connection or any other Deptt. Everywhere you go you feel harassed. You have no other way except to offer bribe to the concerned.
Again,almost each Deptt has its own website but most of the websites have no email or other keys through which one can file a complaint or ask any query related to anyone’s problem.
To me,the last solution of this evil is :
* to develop a culture of working online .Everything is required to move online .Fee of every Deptt against any sort of utility services should be deposited online.No clerk or middleman should be there in between the system and the public.
* There should be adequate toll free numbers and email addresses ,online complaint registering portal for registering complaints.
* Besides,each MLA and Govt Deptt head should have their public what’s app number for listening to the grievances of the public.
