SRINAGAR : The Kashmir University (KU) has postponed all examinations scheduled for today and tomorrow following representations by students due to heavy snowfall in Kashmir valley.
A KU spokesperson said that the university received representations from students that examinations be postponed in view of the heavy snowfall during the past three days. The authorities have decided to postpone all examinations which were scheduled to be held today and tomorrow in view concerns raised by students following heavy snowfall in the Valley.
The spokesman said fresh dates for the postponed examinations will be notified separately. However, the examinations staled to be held from Wednesday will be held as per schedule.
Meanwhile, the class-work, which was suspended on Saturday due to snowfall will resume today in the university, where the administration has already decided not to go for a winter break to compensate the academic losses suffered by the students due to unrest in the last over five months.
The University had earlier cancelled examinations which were scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday. (AGENCIES)
