JAMMU: Minister of State for Tourism and Culture Priya Sethi today said that 106 posts are lying vacant in J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
Replying in the House to a question raised by the members, the Minister said the vacant posts included 29 Gazetted posts, 64 Non-gazetted and 13 Class IV posts. The Minister said that these posts are vacant as certain modifications are required in Recruitment Rules of the Academy and a Committee has been constituted for reframing these Rules.
She said the process for filling up the vacant posts will be started as soon as the Recruitment Rules are updated, modified and reframed. Ms Sethi further stated that Rs 4.75 crore has been spent so far on the construction of Tehzeeb Mahal in Srinagar. She said the project will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 72 crore.
