JAMMU, Jan 14: The decomposed dead body of an unknown man of age about 25-30 years was recovered today from the bank of River Chenab in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, at about 10 AM today some villagers spotted a semi-decomposed male body on the bank of Chenab River near Biasa Chak (Devipur) and informed the police.
He said that on getting information a police team reached the spot and shifted the body to mortuary of Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor but later it was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification and post mortem.
“A case in this connection has been registered at concerned police station”, the spokesman said, adding, the deceased was wearing a black colour zipper.
