JAMMU: Minister for Forests, Ecology and Environment, Choudhary Lal Singh today said that an ambitious Rs 32.66 crore project has been submitted to the centre for Hokersar Lake under the Centrally Sponsored National Plan for Conservation of Aquatic Ecosystems (NPCA) .
Replying to a question by Noor Mohammad Sheikh, regarding Government’s plan for raising and widening of level of Hokersar Bund from Sozeith to Zainakote HMT, the Minister said that there is no approved scheme for the same, however, there is a provision for raising of existing bunds of Hokersar under the proposed NPCA project.
