NEW DELHI, Jan 21: Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section rose by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following thin position of trucks in the market against cargo movements.
Transporters said tight availability of trucks against increased cargo movements mainly brought the rise in some centres for eight rates.
Delhi to Jaipur, Ludhiana and Gwalior freight rates went up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 18,000, Rs 21,000 and Rs 16,000.
Rates to Chandigarh, Kanpur and Indore also moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 19,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 24,000.
