NEW DELHI, Jan 30: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) strongly opposed the statement of Omar Abdullah ex-Chief Minister of J&K State against abrogation of Article 370 as well as demand of plebiscite raised in the state Assembly by MLA Abdul Rashid, which is totally un–constitutional, anti-national and needs to be taken a serious note by the State and Centre Government.
KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri addressing a meeting at here today stated that nationalist forces , in particular KPs are of firm belief that the Article 370 is a big hurdle for democracy to flourish in J&K State. It is most unfortunate that the Parliament of India has shut the doors of democracy for the minorities in J&K by raising a stone wall in the name of Article 370 and are confident that so-called Kashmir issue can be solved only with one flag, one Constitution and fundamental rights for every one in the State of at par with rest of the country.
Kundan Kashmiri expressed gratitude for the nationalist forces in particular Kashmiri Pandit community in the Valley who with their nationalist resolve, always raised Tricolour in Valley, expressed solidarity with the India and rejected the two-nation theory , double standard and fundamentalist attitude of Kashmiri Muslim leadership. He expressed dismay that politicians and the Parliament of India failed to realize the spirit of the nationalist people of J&K and to understand the social and political aspirations of the Kashmiri Pandits and other nationalists of the State .He said Article 370 was put as a death kneel for nationalist people, in particular for KPs after raising a Constitutional wall between Kashmir and rest of India.
Leadership of the State and rest of the country has till date failed to understand the volcanoes hidden under this temporary provision of Article 370, which resulted that the true nationalist of India (KPs) are out of their homes from the last three decades.
