Assembly: House adjourned sine die, Speaker slams Oppn

JAMMU :  Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was today adjourned sine die amid noisy scenes by the Opposition members.

As the House resumed after 30 minutes adjournment, Opposition created ruckus and protested into the Well.

Amid pandemonium, Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta adjourned the House Sine Die.

Talking to reporters, Mr Gupta said he had already clarified in the House that the words are not expunged and he will examine the statement of the Chief Minister but despite that, Opposition members today disrupted the House proceedings.

“They created scene in the House, ransacked property, beat the watch and ward staff and it is not a healthy sign of Opposition, they should play a constructive role,” the Speaker said.

“Our business is almost complete and after taking all pros and cons into consideration, the House was adjourned sine die,” he added.       “Opposition was not in mood of allowing smooth functioning of the House despite our statement and finally, I adjouned the House sine die,” said the Speaker.
